Was I right to cap the flop? I was thinking I should try and make diamonds or week draws pay.

Should I have folded the turn?

This is tough without reads. Would the cap normally slow down villain which means the turn helped him? AK/KK/KdQd?

Unless villain would play, say, JJ this hard with an ace on the board you look to be behind and drawing thin. I'd fold the turn.

The cap isn't slowing villain because he has a better kicker or a set. Just call the flop 3-bet. Once that king comes and your backdoor draw misses, I think you can fold because chances are even a two pair is no good for you here. If a brick had fallen I'd call the turn hoping to catch a jack on the river in this huge pot.
