Default KK help

Live game at Commerce 2/3 NL. I am on the button with kk. I raise to 15. BB raises to 30. fold to me. I reraise to 60. I have about 500 in front of me. Villain has about $340. Flop comes 10 9 4 with 2 spades. Checked to me. I bet $60. Villain calls. Turn is a red 8. Villain checks. I bet $100. Villain calls. River is a queen of spades. Villain is all-in for the remaining $133 of his stack. How badly did I play this, and how could I play it better?

Maybe re-raise more preflop. After you make it $60, there's what, $110 or so in the pot, and he only has to put in $60 for a flop. How about $80-100? If he's got a real hand that's not bullets, you're looking good. If he's got a pair buster, like JTs or 87s, you don't want to give him a cheap flop.

The flop action is all right, but with a flop like that I'd be a little nervous. I'd check the turn - don't like T98 at all, even though it does give a free card. I think I'd have to fold the river - too many cards out there are beating you.

What reads did you have? Did you think the guy was on a re-steal? Was he LAG (looks like it), or pretty tight?

Make it more on the flop. 60 is like 1/2 pot. Make it more like 100. Also, when he calls that and the 8 comes...shut down. And fold the river.

Make it $90 pre-flop -- he only needed to call $30 there.

With the two spades on the flop, your half-pot bet was not enough -- he's getting 3:1 on his call with enough implied odds to make it an easy decision. $100 on the flop is a good bet.

Now you have a straight possibility out there too. If you think you're still ahead here, then you need to bet $200. Otherwise check-call, or fold to an overbet.

River is an easy lay-down at this point.

Were you planning on turning your cards face up on the felt as well?

I considered recommending to call the reraise, rather than reraising. I'm a habitual limper, and am trying to get comfortable with the pre-flop raise. So I was assuming my initial reaction was wrong.

Is the reraise OK? $60, $90, $120?

I'd call the raise and play poker postflop to figure out if I have the best hand.
