book suggestions
Hi all, this is my first post here on 2plus2 but Ive browsed the forum for a while now. anyway ive been taking poker seriously for a year now and have been trying hard to get better every day. i have read holdem for adv players by sklansky a hundered times probably and i think it would be a good idea to get some more books. so anybody got any suggestions? to paint a better picture i play 3-6 in a local cardroom and micro limits online, but im moving soon, so for the next few years i wont have many opportunities to get to a cardroom. and although im not a huge fan of no-limit i will gladly take suggestions on nl books too. ok thanks in advance everybody.

Re: book suggestions
Small Stakes Hold'em is a must. HEFAP is a fabulous book, but you'll get more bang for your buck with SSHE at small stakes live and micro online.
I'd also get Theory of Poker. These are the three books I reread the most. Welcome! |

Re: book suggestions
Jennifer Harman's Limit Hold 'em Section in Super System 2 is well worthwhile.

Re: book suggestions
SSH or SSHE = small stakes holdem, miller
TOP = Theory of Poker, sklansky HEPFAP = the book you own HoH = Harrington on Holdem buy SSH next then HoH then TOP (in my opinion) edit: oh yeah, learn the tenets in Sun Tzu's Art of War, they apply to any strategy/tactics situation. it's free all over the net. |
