Final Pot: t1100ish

I put him on either a flush draw or top pair. A set would have milked the hand differently.

Bad play?

Definitely raise more preflop to give yourself a better idea of where you are at in the hand. If you make it 100-125 preflop, you will still get a caller, and have a good chance to get it in on the flop with a much better chance of winning the pot.

Aleomagus guide suggested to raise 3xbb.

125 is a lot more.. How sure can you be that you'll get a caller? 30%?

Mind you, I'm starting to get back into SNGs so I'm certaintly not an expert. Protecting yourself more preflop is definitely worth it.

What happened if it was folded to me though. Would you have still raised to T125?

True, but I think you need to raise 3xbb + 1bb per limper. 2x and 3x raises seem to get very little, if any, respect during levels 1 and 2. Especially with limpers.

Got called by J9s.

Imsolucky.. The ultimate question is.. When does raising to an ammount like 125 prohibit really shitty hands from calling you preflop? Should I like the J9s calling a 55 raise?

I know I'd like him calling a T125 raise, but it's so much more unlikely.

By the time it gets back around to MP1, he's getting over 4-1 to call the raise. In theory, you should love J9s calling your raise with KK. However, the reason for a bigger pf raise is KK performs much better against 1-2 other hands as opposed to 5.

Although I would have probably raised to 75-90, 125 will normally get 1-2 callers max. True, sometimes you just collect blinds, but 2x-3x raises in level 1 will have you pulling your hair out after repeated suckouts.

Aleomagus suggests 3xBB + 1-2xlimpers . That would make the suggested raise 105. With this strong a hand and playing at the 20s, I think 125 would be a good place to start.

How is the guy all in with 345 when he had 910 chips to start?

Assuming, that's a converter problem, I'm not sure how you can really make much of a read that he didn't flop a set. With a 2 toned flop and possible straights out there, an overbet of the pot would seem reasonable with a set or an overpair. Still, I woulda done the same as you unless there was an A on the flop. Most of the time you'll be called with lower pairs or TPTK.
