I may be obtuse, but how is this spam? He's not linking to any poker site. This is a job posting seeking a developer for a poker site most likely.

Interesting. This seems to imply that some new site is starting to target the Asian markets, rather than a new site is adapting it's software, which probably would not take as much effort. Or maybe I am totally missing something. My hope is the Party will have software usable for people in Japan, S Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong, which would add more recreational (weak) players with a disposable income. I have been hoping for this for a long time.

This is obviously not spam. Don't bug the moderater please people!

I've wondered why those countries don't have online poker. Does anybody know what the laws are regarding this sort of thing in Japan, Korea, etc.?

I have wondered about this as well. I use to play RTS and MMORPG's (Poker is a MMORPG really)

Koreans while never seemingly to be in the top 1% were always a complete pain in the butt. They always seemed to fill the space between the top 1-20%.

Although the reason for this I believe is because 90% of them play out of big gaming halls. The gang gets together everyday at the gaming hall and all sit down near each other to share information while playing.

One way a lot of RTS games prevented this, was to keep people that have the same IP addy from playing in the same game. It seemed each gaming hall only had 1 IP.

There are ways around this. I'm not sure how pokersites would adjust to the huge increase in collusion/ potential collusion.

I for sure would welcome an influx of fish though.
