Default Skansky\'s reference to other fish that feed the Big Game

David said:
"The top eight players are all within a tenth of a big bet an hour of each other. They have fed off Larry Flynt, Jerry Buss, Rene Angelil, and to a lesser extent some names who would surprise you, (that I don't want to divulge)."

ok, who has some info on who else is the shark food for the big game??

I don't know why, but for whatever reason Johnny Chan came to mind. That WOULD surprise me, but he did say it would...

Doyle, by any chance????

I sometimes wonder if a certain recent Player of the Year is not the 'food' in this game right now.

Boy, that would REALLY surprise me.

I forgot an obvious suspect; Gus.

With ALL due respect Gus cannot win against that field, long term. I know him and have played with him (cash) and he is not in the same league in a cash game. Fine tourny player, no question.

Someone mentioned Chip as 'is he any good' etc (arggg) Chip today is one of the top 3 or 4 finest cash players alive. Has been, still is. All games.

How is Gus only a suspect? If any tourney pro had to be it, it'd be him.

Huh? This is a joke right? Johnny Chan? Doyle Brunson?

If you had said 'Lyle Berman', I might have wondered what was in your snake oil. 'Gus Hansen' is a name that makes you go hmmmmmmm (but he's so smart, couldn't be him, could it?) Danny N? I dunno, not really methinks. Seems like they might just sit around chopping each others money up to the drop - waiting to carve up the schmucks

......anyways Doesn't Beal drop enough for all of em to make a little somethin?

I doubt from what I've read that it's Gus. Yeah, obviously I know very little, but that's just the impression I get.

If he couldn't survive in that game I doubt he'd be playing short handed games with Ivey for hours on end, surely he would have busted by now.
