Default Minimum raising requirements UTG....

Hi all

It's a Pokerstars tourney, lets say a $20 rebuy, a $50-100 MTT or the Sunday $350 Guarunteed.
You have an average stack which puts you in the top 20-30 players, there are 20-30 players till you reach the money.

You are in no danger of being blinded out at the moment but within 2 levels you will be at 10 X BB.

What is the minimum hand you will raise with UTG or UTG+1 if UTG folds.

A range of hands for each tourney or just one range of hands if the entry fee doesnt change your requirements.

As an example I currently raise if I pick up any PP bigger than 4s, AK AQ AJs (tho AQ/AJs depends on how I feel at the time)

Am I too loose??

It really depends on how tight the table is playing, but taking your average 9-handed table, I'd raise with PP >= 7, AK, AQ. AJs would be borderline.

I'm not including steals here, which is something that I do from time to time if the situation allows me to do so.

Generally TT, AQ or better. You could be a lot looser depending on your style and how the table is playing.

Lets say the table plays normally,no maniacs.

If you take down the blinds your stack would increase by 10%
