Who created god?
This is bugging me. I asked my friend this a while back and he said 'he's always been'. I can't grasp this for some reason. After reading Sklansky's post it reminded me about this so im asking you guys.

Re: Who created god?
This is really just a useless question.
It's like asking, "What is south of the South Pole?" |

Re: Who created god?
not useless just tough. you think south of the south pole is not possible but there must be something out in space south of it. it hard to think god has always been and thats my biggest decision on whether to believe or not. i know someone can think outside the box and give somekind of answer better than 'gods parents'.

Re: Who created god?
I think Kant would say that this is something that humans can't grasp. I forgot his exact term for it. But, there are certain concepts that humans cannot understand. One of these being something that has no beginning or end (like God). Damn it, I really want to remember what Kant called this. (No Thumb? Zeno?).
craig P.S. Kant also differentiated between the beautiful and the sublime. In a nutshell, he thought that beauty could be created by man, but not the sublime. too bad he did not live to see the picture in my avatar. |
