Where to stay in AC ?
I'm going to be in AC this weekend and unfortunately it looks like every room in every casino is booked. Any suggestions for places to stay for less than $200/night?

Re: Where to stay in AC ?
GThe Trop is probably not booked up, since they just opened the new tower. If not, find a hotel in Absecan.

[/ QUOTE ] its the start of spring break, prepare to get raped on any rooms that you find. (read: paying over $250 a night for rooms that usually go for $60 |

Re: Where to stay in AC ?
there are a lot of cheapo places right off the boardwalk which would be bettr than absecon, especially right near the trop. just look on expedia or orbitz, etc. also you may want to try priceline for a casino room or the sheraton at the convention center. put in a request for the highest star rating and if you get it it will always be at least the sheraton which has limo service to the boardwalk or you can walk it.

Try The Comfort Inn North;
539 Absecon Blvd. US 30 , Absecon, NJ, US, 08201-2406. About a 5 minute drive to Borg or Boardwalk. We stayed there one weekend when everything in town was over $300. Room was something like $79. Not sure about the prices now, but hotel was good. Not a dive by any stretch. |

Re: Where to stay in AC ?
Also try the Hampton Inn in Absecon. Its cheap. Very clean. Free Hot Breakfast. The only drawback was that the beds were very hard. (FYI its cheaper to get a room with two double beds than to get 1 Queen) Also they dont charge more for up to 4 people to stay. (It was ~$90/night on the weekend about a month ago)

Re: Where to stay in AC ?
Thanks for the advice. The good news is through a connection I managed to get comped a room from a host at Bally's. The bad news is I think that means I need to play in their poker room for a while rather than the Borg or the Taj in order to keep the comp for Saturday night. Not looking forward to the smoking.
