Default Was this a good laydown?

This was a hand I watched at a $3/6 game

Reads:
UTG+1: Made a comment about being the closest thing to a pro that the card room will ever see
BB: Loose; bets when he has something; will tell you he will raise you on the turn if he has a made hand

Hero has 72o in UTG

Preflop: Hero folds, UTG+1 raises, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls

Flop: T75 rainbow (4 players)
Pot: (8.5 SB)

BB bets, UTG+1 raises, MP3 folds, Button folds, BB 3-bets, UTG+1 folds KK face up

Not even close to a fold. This is exactly the kind of opponent you play your draws and mediocre hands hard at - very hard. But not always, and not immediately after this hand transpires.

if you wanna show everyone at the table what a weaktight pussy you are so they can run you over for the next few hours, then yeah good fold.

Because only "the closet thing to a pro that cardroom will ever see" could make a laydown like that!

To me, it looks like he was just running his mouth

I can't think of any reason, psychological or otherwise, that you would want to do that.

I think anyone that really played well would never want to advertise that fact.

Yes. This was a good fold.

Would BB only likely do this with a set? There are players this predictable, you just have to be sure. He's getting 12-1 on his call when he folds.

This was my first time at this place, but everyone else seemed to be regulars. BB showed T5 for two pair and made some comment about how great a laydown UTG+1 had made.

My thought was that UTG+1 thought that he was making a *pro* laydown...

As someone else said, I'd love to have this "pro" at my table. Anything to make my job easier ^_^

No, he was making a "Look how cool I am. Look, did you see what I did..." laydown.
