calling 2 SS all in at BB
In a B&M live tournament we were down to 30 people (which was a bump in pay). Blinds are 2/4. Half the table has between 4 and 10 chips.
My read is they are all playing tight and finding a spot to double up on. Not sure what hand selection that includes, but they are eliminating 67suited type hands, lowest suited connector they might go with is j10suited. We played about 5 hands at the new pay level and then I am in the BB. I was the chip leader of the table having about 50 chips after posting my 4bb. UTG goes all in for 6 UTG+1 goes all in for 8 folded to me with K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Do you call? What are your thoughts on considering whether the king is a live card? If it is, I think it is an autocall. I'm playing for first of course, but to me that also means don't rush things and play the percentages whenever given them. |

It looks like you're getting 5:1 on this call (4 more chips to win 20). Autocall with any two here, I'd think.

I agree that at 5:1 you have to call, but I'd much rather have 72 here than K2.

Re: calling 2 SS all in at BB
I ran a couple of scenarios on twodimes, and it's not close: call.
If you're up against a couple of guys with Ax, you're a 2:1 dog. If it's Ax and a pocket pair (I ran tens), you're a 7:2 dog. You'd rather have a better kicker, of course, but you gotta call. My two cents, Sam |

Re: calling 2 SS all in at BB
When you factor in that no one will steal from you again after the showdown this is a really quick autocall. In fact I'd do it without looking at my cards, then say 'hope they're suited' before turning them over.
