There is some stuff that bears repeating over and over even if most of us have heard it already. If you don't have a spyware zapper and a firewall on your PC, you should go get the damn free ones right now. Google "Lavasoft Ad-Aware" and "Zone Alarm firewall" and get the things up and running.

I was at my buddy's house for a tournament tonight and he had neither. I took the liberty of installing both on his PC after he complained he didn't like how it was running. <font color="red"> Ad-Aware found over <font color="white"> 6500 </font>beasties, nasties, and whatnots that it didn't like. No wonder his PC was so slow, all that spyware had it turdified. </font>

So if this is something you've been meaning to get around to, do it, you lazy unmotivated slacker.

Wow and I thought the 1400 I found on my elderly mother's PC were a lot (my teenage niece and nephew use her broadband access for their filesharing).

Microsoft AntiSpy works very well too..... as long as you have a legal copy of XP

Best of the bunch including Lavasoft's Ad-Adware SE Personal and Spybot is the Microsoft AntiSpyware program.It's in beta but I've had no problems whatsoever.I run it evey nite 2 am-Initially this thing found a ton of crap neither Spybot nor my old favorite AdAware detected.
