I'm waiting for the first poker site to endorse bots and create an open API and/or 4GL language that allows you to program logic into your bot. The GUI interface allows you to let the bot play or you can jump in at anytime and take manual action.
The site can invite players to paly vs bots. The GUI clearly identifies who are bots and who are not. It is a challenege of sorts and many people will take the challenege. It can have tournaments or ring games with minimum committments. For example, submit your bot and he must play at least 100 hands (or until he goes broke). Imagine another type of challenege, called the "100k hand challenge". It's for bots only. You submit your bot vs. other bots and 100k hands are played out in 5 minutes. You get results of the 100k hands via some cool graphical dashboard interface as it rolls through the computations. I always thought an online site for c-robots or p-robots competition for $ would have been awesome. Poker can do it for bots. |

Good link.
This discussion reminds me of a competition where people (mostly MIT-like studets) built robots to play soccer against another team. The main point of competition was the quality of the AI that controls each soccer-bot. There can now be a robot poker competition. Wake me up when it's over. |

Some people already think online poker is rigged, so imagine what they might say after losing to a runner-runner inside straight to a bot!
