Folks,
Would really appreciate some feedback on this hand. After it was checked round on the flop thought it was worth a stab on the turn, and I called the raise for 60 more with the intiention of check/folding the river to any decent sized bet, and feeling that there was enough chance I was ahead to justify the call (less so than having outs if behind). Am I ever going to get raised by less than an ace in this spot? ![]() I think that betting the turn is reasonable with this hand, and that I'd fold as soon as someone raises me. (Checking the turn is reasonable as well, as is raising a large amount preflop (150-200 range.) The problem with calling on the turn, is that even if you have the best hand (Which won't be often), you will often be faced with a large river bet that you can't call, thus rendering all these hands irrelevant. |

I'm sure 90% of the forum disagrees with me here, but I probably would have gone all-in before the flop, for reasons I have discussed elsewhere. This is a prime example of one of what I call "coinflip situations."
In brief: You either win the blinds and the money from the limpers (a significant amount compared to your stack) Or you will get called by a range of hands which you are a favorite against. |

![]() In low limit games I have no huge problem with moving allin (Thats not to say it'd be my recommended play). Youll get called by lots of garbage. |

I'd fold to the raise in a flash. If you had position it might be a different story.
And I don't think moving in preflop is a bad play by any means. I have seen A LOT of people call with TT-22 and Ax in SNGs as high as the 30s. |
