confusing 55 in BB
MP2 is LPP so I didn't initially put him on too strong a hand but his 3-bet confused the hell out of me. Wasn't quite sure of how to continue so I decided to go the way of saving my bets for another hand. Thoughts?

Re: confusing 55 in BB
i don't know if i'd raise that preflop, don't know if that's a mistake or not...curious what others think. don't mind the flop fold at all though.

Re: confusing 55 in BB
I think I might try to bet out on the flop and fold to a raise. He may have overcards, and if you check to him he will almost surely bet at you (which you definetly can't call). If he calls your flop bet I think I might just give up and check/fold. You only need him to fold 1 in 6 times for this play to be profitable.

Re: confusing 55 in BB
There is absolutely no way that I am raising this hand preflop from the BB. Zero.
However, HU I am betting out the flop no matter what falls, and then re-evaluating if I'm called/raised. Against your LP-P, and assuming you have enough hands on him for an accurate classification, I am folding to any aggression whatsoever on this flop. |

[/ QUOTE ] I would usually take the line you are suggesting but I've been thinking a raise pre-flop here might not be that bad if the lone opponent is prone to fold on the flop when you bet. He gets and extra bet out of him and maybe scares the LPP into folding on the flop a larger percent of the time. -Pete |

Re: confusing 55 in BB
I dont think I would have raised pre-flop. But if i had and a LPP player made it 3, after a flop like that i would have acted the same way. But I am new to poker, so any criticism would be welcome.
