Default JJ hand that I would like some help with.

Hey, help on all streets would be appreciated, but mostly the play on the river. I feel bad about the bet on the end, but I would like to hear what others have to say.

A lot of people say to limp early on with JJ because it makes the hand easier to play. I think the opposite, and feel that you should be raising JJ preflop early in the low buyins.

I feel the same way... I would at least min-raise with JJ in the early levels.

After that flop though, you have to be very cautious... I would bet like you did on the flop, and since he called, I'd check on the turn to see what he does.

What do you hope to accomplish by miniraising? You might get them to fold total garbage that makes 2 pair but that is about it. You are also building a nice pot if a bunch of people limp behind you which encourages a big reraise that you really don't want to call. I tend to limp or raise the standard 3-5 bb.

I fold this on the flop. My rational is that
a) the pot isn't too big
b) I am likely a head most of the times
c) With 4 other players, someone probably has a better flush draw than mine
d) I am drawing to runner runner if someone has a flush
Betting on the flop would be my action if it there a was only 1 or 2 players. That can lead to a hard choice on the turn of does he have the flush or the flush draw. If you check some players will bet with either.

What hand did you expect to call your river bet that you can beat? AcJx is about it. Maybe 2 pair. You pretty much have to call his bet at the end (200 into a about ~1000 pot) since I have seen AJ and 2 pair there enough.

Raise PF.

Folding on the flop is too weak/tight but once you are called by *two* people you can more or less check/fold the turn. The river does absolutely nothing to help you and if anything you should be check/calling here.
