Default Good fold or money wasted?

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Lately I've started to play 1/2sh in order to prepare myself to jump from 3/6 to 5/10sh. I have only played like 3000 hands 1/2sh so I'm kind of a newbie to the game. I don't have any specific reads on the villains. Seem about average 1/2 players - nothing spectacular about any one of them.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG raises, MP calls, 2 folds, SB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, MP calls, SB calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, MP 3-bets, SB folds, Hero folds...

Final Pot: 12 BB

I think it's a fold/cap-situation for me on the turn. Is it a good fold or am I too intimidated by the 3-bet? I'd give him credit for either KJ, J8 or a set - he's not 3-beting anything less in this situation. I think calling down is the worst oprtion, what does the rest of you think?

Any input would be appreciated, thank you.

I think that's a pretty horrible fold.

I'm just checking, u folded the second nut? I think this is horrible. I would cap and at least three bet the river (and def cap if both of them are left) unless the board pairs.

I think it's a lot better than folding.
From where I'm sitting, folding is clearly the worst option.

This is 1/2 6-max.
I'm not folding here, unless my reads are extremely good.

To me 1/2 6-max is very non-tricky. People are not 3-betting unless they have a really good hand. I would def. cap given more tricky opponents, still I realise that this fold was horrible.

I didn't even realize it was 6-max. And I thought it was a pretty terrible fold for a full ring game.

To me SH means it's more likely that the cold-caller holds KJ compared to a full game. But then again i'm new to the game.

since the only hand that has you beat is KJ...

this is horrible.

horrendous, even.

if you're not capping, it's to c/r a non-jack river. and given your relative position, i'd prefer to cap.

Let us assume you are completely correct about how 'non-tricky' your opponents are. Even assuming that, I'm willing to bet this opponent would 3-bet with 2-pair or a set.

Plus, the size of the pot clearly allowed you to be wrong in this case.

two pair, a big pair and a frush draw, a big pair and a straight draw, a set... there's just too many combinations that you pwn to even CONSIDER folding this.
