Re: Caro\'s 12 Day\'s to Holdem Success
Caro's thing is 12 "lessons". He gives you missions to accomplish at the card room and then talks about the rationale for them. I bought it but don't have it in front of me, so I can't give any examples. I definitely didn't think it was worth my time and effort or the money spent.

[ QUOTE ]
What is included in this and is it worth the read if you are not a beginner? [/ QUOTE ] It was written in '92 or so. The relevance is strictly B&M play for a lot of it. Lesson/Mission #1 is something like watching every hand willingly shown at showdown, if within XX range add 1 point to a count, if within another range add 2 points. At the end of an hour depending on the count you will generally know how good the table is. This gets you watching how people play/pay attention and lets you find out how good/bad the table is. Strictly B&M stuff imho. If you are going to buy it, dont buy it from conjelco (sorry guys) for $20, you can get a bunch of videos and the book from http://www.carospokersecrets.com/ for the same price with S&H. |
