Party\'s New Blind Structure.. Yay or Nay?
All opposed, "NAY!" This is the suck. I've been trying to get away from 100 BB buy-in sites because that big of a stack promotes tight/rock/boring games. Smaller stacks meant fish getting them selves pot committed after calling my raises and flop bets. Now they have the chance to fold because they have a larger stack. It was easier to win @ Party compared to Stars and now that's all shot to crap. How does everybody else view this issue? Am I the only one who cares?
Oh and the new limits.. Yay. BUT BRING THE BUYIN BACK TO 50 BBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Party\'s New Blind Structure.. Yay or Nay?
I don't know really.
I'm delighted at the new limits but a bit gutted with the blind structure. Having said that, I wouldn't want to really play 1000NL with 50xbb. My guess is the 25 and 50NL won't change much anyway... |

Deeper stacks benefit the better player, that's what I think.

Re: Party\'s New Blind Structure.. Yay or Nay?
I don't think there's really any question that this is true; the deeper the stacks, the more maneuverability afforded a good player to out-play opponents post-flop. I don't think many fish understand the value of implied odds type hands like suited connectors and small pairs and such, and these hands increase vastly in value when up against some dipshit who can't get away from his overpair for his whole stack when the stack depths provide the correct implied odds to play such hands . . . I'll take 100BB any day over 50 . . .

Re: Party\'s New Blind Structure.. Yay or Nay?
I just spent a little time watching the 1000NL game seeing if it would be worth my time to redeposit to party and it's a circus. As of right now the average pot size for three of the tables are $445 $375 and $335. It's 10am est.

I am delighted with the new structure. just learn how to play with 100BB, bob, it's not rocket science or anything.

Re: Party\'s New Blind Structure.. Yay or Nay?
If you want a real action game, you should try and get them to bump it to 300 or 400bb.
50bb is ridiculous. There's no play to it. Even 100 is a little short for my tastes. With several sites now offering higher stakes no-limit, I'm surprised not one of them runs an uncapped NL (or even better, PL) game. |
