Is this maximized?
The game is a good 10/20 live game. The hand in question was played by a friend of mine and I am curious as to what other people think of the line taken.
Important reads: BB seems to play OK but is on tilt right now, and calling down way too many hands. CO is a local pro who is all around solid. 11 handed and 4 bets is the cap. Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero raises, 1 fold, EP3 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls. Flop: (10.5 SB) 10[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img](5 players) BB bets, Hero calls, EP3 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls. Turn: (7.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) BB bets, Hero calls, MP2 folds, CO raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, CO folds, BB calls. River: (17.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls. The decision we debated was whether or not to just call the turn 3-bet by the BB in order to keep the CO in (and maybe to make him pay off some river bets), instead of capping and possibly chasing them all out. Of course point out a better line if you see one elsewhere, but it was mainly the turn decision I was looking for feedback on. Thoughts and/or comments? |

Re: Is this maximized?
If you call along there is a chance CO will cap rather than fold to your now-obvious flush. He will at WORST call the 3-bet for 1 more BB. Then you can raise the river and get 2 out of BB instead of 1. This is almost always how it plays out.
