Default Steve at Foxwoods.

This guy kills me. Always ID'ing at the 1/2NL game. Last week was winter break for the schools, so the games are great. I'm there killing a table sitting with $1200 when Steve comes over and asks for ID's. 6 COUNT EM!!!! 6 kids get up and leave. Bye bye easy money.

Uh...huh....

I totally agree (NOT!!)....He should 'look the other way' and run the risk of allowing the law to make the discovery, opening a Pandora's box of penalties?!!

It sucks that your cash cows were underage, but I'm sure they were replaced by a slightly older group of donators.

I sat at one of those 1/2 tables for a little while the other night. What I found was a group of children hiding under their headgear, hoping not to get carded. Some of them even had study materials for their freshman (high school?) exams.

Just didn't seem right.

Amen.

The sad thing is that most of us used to be teenagers, and I'm sure we can all remember how we felt like adults at the time. Looking back on it, I'm amazed I really did make it into adulthood.

I couldn't decide whether to call the floor over to have them carded, or just MMOFB. I chose the latter, although I'm still not sure if that was the correct choice.

FWIW, I think the resposnes you're getting are absurd. I'd be pissed too, but I'd also understand, and not bother posting about it...

First of all I play at Foxwoods 3-4 times a week. Secondly, I was a bartender for 12 years, so I know about carding people. I posted this for the fun of it sort of like I couldn't believe that 6 people at the table got past initial security to sit at the tables. None of you who responded ever tried to get into the club or sneak a beer before you were 21? Never even drove a car before 16? No wonder why you sit on the computer all day posting about morality.

I don't think you meant to respond to me, as I'm agreeing with you and disagreeing with the rest of the posters. My comment about not bothering to post was just that, yeah, I think it's ridiculous that they are aggressively carding, but at the same time, it's in their rights...

why not aggresively screen when people walk into a casino section? i'm consistently surprised that as young as i look, no turquoise suits ever card me as i walk in. i think part of the reason they're carding in the poker room is because there's massive wait lists and it really doesn't matter if an underage person gets booted. if that underage person is sitting at an empty blackjack table, i wonder if the same thing happens.
