Default party steps question

im thinking of playing one of these. lets say i make it to the 3rd or 4th level. could i opt to cash out my entry to the higher one if i were to advance or am i stuck with playing until the end?

Stuck playing to the end, party needs to get some fish in step 5 to please their high rollers don't they?

And that is the exact reason they don't let you cash out, people like you, and frankly, me, would probably take the $1000 or even $500 and redistribute and never play the last step so step 5's wouldnt fill quickly, not to mention party wouldn't gobble up those huge tourney fees for step 5. Pretty ingenious way to make money, I don't understand how they come up with great fishing lure, but still havent got customer service down pat, one of those age old questions like why is the sky blue i guess.
