Raising to somewhere around 100 chips seems good to me.

100 sounds good, hoping someone limp/reraises 66.

I wonder if I did overraise, still I got 2 callers (it was very loose)

Hero raises to t250, 1 fold, SB calls t240, 1 fold, UTG folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls t235, MP3 folds.

Flop: (t825) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, MP2 checks, Hero ????

Well, they managed to get this far with their pocket fours. Time to pretend you have AK and push.

Push. Your push will be about a pot sized bet, so that seems like the best option.

I agree with the making it 150 or so preflop, but now that you are where you are... push.

I pushed and everybody folded. I picked up T600. End of chat!

The reason I posted this is that majority of hands analysed in this forum focus on the last hand you play in any particular tournament; you know, the coin flips you lose, the desperate lunges with KQo as you're being blinded away and, of course, the ubiquitous bad beats.

There doesn't seem to be enough dissection of 'simple' hands like this. Immediately, after winning any sort of a hand, I always mop my brow and give a little Oscar speech thanking all and sundry that he wasn't holding pocket fives. Ten seconds later I begin to think I could have extracted more chips.

They called a 15+BB bet. Since they don't have AA or KK, they've got to be on A + something reasonable or a medium PP. What amount should I have bet, so that AJ, still (mistakenly?) thought he had the odds to call (I don't think AK was out there) or TT still could have thought he might be good?

I think I'm consistently overbetting strongish hands and leaving money on the table, what do you think?
