Default simple question

This doesn't belong here but noone responds to NL posts in HUSH.

Anyway, you've decided that you want to play some heads up NL freeze-out games. You have plenty of people willing to play with you, but you haven't played with them before. There is no rake, and it's winner take all.

How deep do you want the game to start? Why? The level will never rise. Assume that you're better than most of the opponents because, well, that's why you want to play heads up.

Just go Rounders style. 25-50 blinds and 10k in chips. $100 a game or whatever.

The deeper the stacks, the more favored the better player is. More room to maneuver and outplay your opponent. Thus, theoretically as the stacks approach an infinite number of BBs, the closer to a 100% victory the better player has.

However, the crux of your post would be hourly rate. Though having stacks of say, 10,000BB, would nearly always have the better player win, it would take ages. I imagine a stack of 100-200BB will still let you win a very high percent of the time vs worse players, but be rather faster.

Really an odd question though, perhaps you can specify more of what you are getting at? Maybe other posters don't care so much but I am quite interested as I play a lot of heads up.

I've played many heads up matches with 100BB with blinds that do not rise with buddies who play well. The matches are typically over 1.5 hrs.

I've played a couple matches with 200BB and they can go on for a very long time.

At 200BB you have a very good chance of beating an inferior opponent, but be prepared to spend a long time doing it.

150BB may be a good compromise....although I like the "Rounders Style" idea. If you really wanna duke it out and let the best man win, 200BB seems like a good way to go about it...but it might not do much for your hourly rate. Just make sure these deeper matches are for more money to make it worth your time.
