Default Another Poker Rate Question

How do the Casinos count hours of play towards your poker rate? I am going to AC after work next week on a Tuesday. I will get in fairly late on Tuesday then plan to play all day on Wednesday. My question is since I won't be playing much on Tuesday, can my time from Wednesday get the poker rate?

Thanks for the help,
d

i hope you get better responses than mine, because i know only a little about the subject... but from my understanding, if you plan to stay at the borgata they dont comp you for your room the first time you go. you need to have a membership card their prior to getting to the hotel, and they will comp you depending upon whether you have spent time playing in the past. if you plug in $30hours a week at the casino, they will comp you ever day even if you dont play Turesday, Wednesday, and Thurdsday.

I could be wrong, but I think this is inaccurate. The first time I went to Borgata, I signed up for a MyBorgata rewards card over the phone while I was making my poker rate reservations. I picked up the actual card when I got there.

After playing well over the required 8 hours (weekday the rate is $59 with 5 hours, and $39 with 8), I swiped out of the poker room, went to bed, woke up, checked out, and paid something like $47.50 after taxes -- a fantastic deal. The key is having a MyBorgata membership when making the room reservation.

yah that might have been the problem. when my friends and i went down, my friend ordered the room over the phone and the lady said he could use poker rate when he checked out of the hotel assuming he played enough hours. we got to the casino and we all played a huge amount of hours. when we checked out the person at the front desk said we couldnt use poker rate because we didnt sign up with our cards prior to purchasing the room. we were [censored] pissed to say the least.

Just to clarify, I have played hundreds of hours in AC at all the major cardrooms. I am staying at the TAJ and am planning on playing the wed. nl tourney.

Well Rate sort of works like Comps In my experince. So you might be asked to pay for the room full rate up front but after a few hours of play you can ask a host to adjust it for you depending on play.
