Default Chuck Palahniuk

I have to write a research paper about him and therefore have to read 800 pages.

I read Fight Club, Choke, and Survivor so far.

Is there anyone else that thinks this guy is WAY overrated, is always writing the same thing, finds the minimalist style really annoying, and generally just really hates this author?

I love him. But I can easily see how people would dislike him.

Still, though. Choke is creative as [censored]. I couldn't come up with that book in a million years.

Not that it matters much, but he actually came to my dorm a few weeks ago. Didn't watch his presentation though, I've never read any of his books.

I sort of agree w/ all your points, yet still love his writing.

After Fight Club, I felt a little peeved about the points I made, but still really loved it. Then I read choke and felt kind of neutral about whether or not I liked him. I just read Survivor and I really hate him now. The sad thing is that I still have to read him. At least its quick.

I went to a reading he gave last year and he read a story involving one's intestines being sucked out of one's ass in a swimming pool. A woman passed out. I didn't like Choke but the reading was cool.
