Default Most significant thing about the bot...

It appears to demonstrate that a player can be +$EV at $22 with preflop skills ONLY. This is pretty enlightening and significant, IMO.

I already knew that from first hand experience. But yes, it's interesting to see it confirmed.

In fact, watching saapbo makes me think I might improve my ROI by dropping all post-flop play until I get some more ring-game experience....just kidding....or AM I??....

Umm, I guess someone should point out the small sample size.

He just plays straight-up Aleo's FAQ $10+1 style.

It was only a matter of time.

I wonder if this will chase away fish?

I play a game pretty similar to the bots. I hardly ever try to steal blinds with less than an allin (which means I'm almost always folding preflop until the 50/100 level) and I have about a 15% ROI in the $22s.

I find it reassuring that an emotionless, robotic, diciplined method has been proved effective.

Much like a rock. That springs to life 50 hand into the tourney.

Having a successful bot shows that it is unnecessary to diplay creative, inspired poker to turn a profit. Although I'm not sure we will ever see a bot perform at the accepted "ROI ceiling" of levels above $22.

BL - is convinced that bots will never progresses from cottage industry. Greed breeds destruction.
