Default Exposed Card rules

Our Hold'Em league is having a discussion on what constitutes an exposed card during the deal. If a player can determine the color of the suite or an approximate value (Face card, A - 3, 8- 10) is that enough to declare that the card was exposed?

Any thoughts?

Yes. The card which is exposed (even partially) should be flipped face up in the center of the table. The deal continues, as it would, ie it passes that player and he is left with one less card. The card which would have been the burn card is the player who got the exposed card's second card and the exposed card is the burn card.
