I got a "LOL" from 2+2er after this one

You need to bet the river. He'll call with A-high here most of the time and also with any piece of the board or PP. There isn't much he would bluff with in this spot.

He was probably laughing because you only put in money postflop with the worst hand, then failed to bet when you were ahead, and he definitely would have called. That's why I would laugh here anyways.

Was lack of pre-flop re-raise worse than the river check (in the long run)? Did I make any other mistakes?

he called the turn, hes likely calling the river. Hes also not likely to bluff after you've showed so much strength, especially on a card like that.
