Default H.O.R.S.E. tournament on Full Tilt

I just got done playing in my first ever H.O.R.S.E. tournament on full tilt. It got about 160 players to play in a private game of $10+1. I think this was advertised on RGP. There might have been a link to it here:
http://www.free-casinos-online.info/...r/241_280.html
but that site is messed up for me now. For those of you who do not know, H.O.R.S.E. is Hold 'em, Omaha 8/b, Razz, Stud, Stud Eight/b. It was a lot of fun, but too bad I didn't money I really hope Full Tilt keeps going on with these H.O.R.S.E. tournaments. Supposedly this was the first EVER H.O.R.S.E. tournament played online.

p.s. Not sure if this was a good forum to post this in.

I enjoyed the info. Do any sites offer horse cash games?

This would make me sign up! Love the razz and stud games. Who's got rakeback on FT

Wish I had known about that.

How was the quality of play? Were there a lot of tough players or were there quite a few who were obviously completely out of their element in some games?

Some tough players, some clueless ones. I won my only big pot in the Razz section against a guy who had 55KJ showing (so his best possible low would be a J5321. I had and 86xxx, so I just kept raising him until I was all-in.

Later, he said he didn't realize he couldn't use his fives twice in the same hand, and thought he had 655xx, lol.

The structure was okay for the first hour, but then really started biting into us. Just one loss, one bad beat or brick-up, and we were out.

Next time I hope they give us more chips, or make the levels 15 minutes instead of 10.

It was great to have 157 in a mixed games tourney-first of many, I hope! It seemed most of the opposition in this tourney were decent to very good online players with only a handful of goobers, although Felicia seems to have gotten all of the Razz-impaired at her table.

I think FT has a great (by online standards) structure for no-limit, but they could back off a bit with the blind escalations for limit tourneys. I was playing tight and had a cold spell at the start of hour 2 and got desperate pretty quick.

The highlight of the tourney for me was winning 2 of the first 3 hands in the first round of holdem and briefly being #2 in chips. During the second round of stud I tried and failed to steal antes with a door ace and nothing else, stubbornly tried to bluff a guy off his king, and ended up pot-committed on 5th street-it took 2 runners for a flush to save me from the rail. Good result for a horrible play by me.

The rail did come in the second round of stud/8. I got 543, caught a 6 on 4th street and got the rest of my short stack in, then bricked out with Q,J,T. So I finished 61st, out of the money. I did finish just ahead of FL-I think we made a last-longer bet

Perry Friedman from FT ended up winning. Since HORSE has been discontinued from the WSOP, does this mean that Perry is this year's world champ in HORSE?

Yes, I agree, the 2nd hour was tough. Just takes one beat and you're out.

Yeah, I think I was 65, so you finished ahead of me. No LL bet, no one ever asked me to do one, lol. But my biggest disappointment was Tanya. She was the chip lead throughout the whole first hour, virtually, and was up to over 9300 in chips from 1500, then lost them all in about 15 minutes!

Why that girl insists on playing almost every hand, and pushing losing hands is beyond me. She was a shoe-in! Instead, she was out right after us. Ugh! I know her in RL, and if we could combine our playing styles...watch out!

The Plaza is taking up the HORSE gauntlet. Their big event, the World Poker Challenge, starts in April. I plan on playing HORSE if I am able.

Why did they discontinue HORSE from the WSOP? Can we blame it on scott fishman being annoying?
