Default BoDog

Anyone play at BoDogs poker room? I find that I see the worst and the most bad beats here out of any other room. Meaning the players are really horrible.

Anyone care to share their experience with Bodog?

Bodog was very good when they first opened in August or September. They have tightened up considerably since then. At least at the higher limits.

Thank you,

Agree with Jim. The first week there was a gold mine at both Limit and NL but all the mega-fish have since gone broke.

I haven't been there for awhile...but indeed that place did rock the first couple of months.

I just hated playing on the same tables as Jim and Broil so much...but some of those fish more than made up for it.

no idea how it is playing now though but I'm nott surprised at the reports that it's tightening up there. The sports-betting fish could only survive for so long.

Remember a couple of times when somebody would lose $2k or so in the 10/20 and then say they were going to go bet a couple-grand on UCLA or something and then would come back.

Sportsbooks tied with poker-rooms can be pretty profitable during certain stretches.

I think the 5/10 is still nice. I play there rarely though so maybe I'm just hitting it on good nights (was there last weekend).

I saw a rumor that their deposit bonus of I think up to 20% had no cap?

Even if this is true, isn't Bodog the site where you actually have to contribute money to the pot before you earn points towards your bonus? It would take ages to clear a bonus.

They've had unlimited reloads at certain times (not sure if it's all the time or not).

The problem is that you can't cash-out until you clear the bonus (or they will take the money away) so you are forced to keep all your money in there
...on top of that it takes about 10x as long to clear it there as most normal rooms.
So all that money that you have to leave in there to keep the bonus has to sit in there for a LONG time while you clear it at a virtual snail's pace.

It only counts for points if you bet money into the pot AND the hand is raked...etc etc. Just getting dealt into the hand isn't enough.

The points structure there is very slow (assuming they haven't changed it).

The bonus there might be worthwhile to clear via sports-bets....but in the poker-room it REALLY takes a long time and I don't recommend it.
