How BIg A Dick Was I

Playing 3-6 holdem and I was up after my K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] help up when the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] fell on the river to give me the nut flush. 5 or 6 hands later I'm UTG and look at my first card, the sweet A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. My second card is halfway too me and it flips up, A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I was upset, my replacement card was 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I mucked my cards face to show the AA I would have had. The dealer appologized and did look truly sorry. I didn't say anything to her about it.

How big a dick about this was for mucking my had face up?

Why would you muck a suited ace in a 3/6 game? I wouldn't call you a dick (I save that for certain other posters) but I'd say that wasn't a very smart move. Unless there's more to this and I'm missing something...

His Ah was the one that flipped up, so his 6h didn't give him suited aces ... he had As6h. And I just might consider mucking those cards, too.

But, yeah, it might slightly have been a dick move. Got a long day at the casino ... every dealer f's up every now and again. It sucks, but let it go next time.

The A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] was the exposed one, so he had an offsuit A6. Tough break, but I guess it wasn't necessary to expose the muck.

A BIG one. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] If you want to discuss your hand, wait until after the game is done. You could have given another player too much information if they were holding 66, AK, A9 or similar hands.

I felt bad about it for about 10 seconds. This was the second card the dealer had exposed when dealing to me since she sat down.

It didn't stop the lag to my left from playing his Axo though. He figured if another A fell he was home free!

Oops, yeah misread the cards... Had that happen in a home game a few weeks ago. No biggie... you'll get them again [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

All together now: THE CARDS ARE RANDOM.

If I had to put you on the "Dick/Not a Dick" spectrum for angrily exposing your cards to whine about the aces you "should" have gotten, I'd put you on "Dick." Donks get upset about this stuff--you really, really shouldn't care.

Would you have made the same fuss if it was the 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] exposed and the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] was the replacement? It all evens out in the end, sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn't.
