Default PP15, KK folded a boat?

Ok, my opponet here is 38/16, aggression of .6,.7,1 after about 40 hands.

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, MP3 calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB calls, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, MP3 calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (16 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, MP3 folds, SB folds, BB calls.

Turn: (10 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 15 BB

I know it's a huge pot, but I really don't see any way I can win it.

BB will show AQ/AJ/AT more than often enough for you to call down here. In fact, I cap the turn here. I'd just call a river bet, but bet if checked to.

I think this is a terrible fold.

That is a ghastly fold. Just last night I was against a similar opponent with the same AAkx board and I got 4-bets in on the turn and river and was happy to do it. This opponent is 38/16 with low aggression numbers post-flop over 40 hands. In general I need a lot more hands to feel comfortable about post-flop numbers than I do about the pre-flop numbers. Someone playing/raising that much pre-flop even over that few of hands is going to go to war with just about any ace.

There are 3 possible hands that beat you (he needs 2 of 3 the 3 remaining aces and kings). There are also 3 possible ways for him to have pocket nines. There's 2 AQs's out there, several AQos... I'd expect to lose this hand, but not more than 7 times out of 8. I'd call down after this action. Against some better known opponents, I keep betting.

cheers,
highland

good grief. If you're that timid maybe you shouldn't be playing 15/30. I've seen people cap the turn in this situation with garbage like KQ or A2 at party.

40 Hands tells you nothing.

Folding here is pretty awful, I am capping this turn. I'd expect to see 99/AQs/AQo/AJs/ATs before AK or A9s or AA (if you are giving him that much credit) given the preflop and postflop action (99 and AQs being most likely).

Since you seem to think that you are beat, how about you just call him down? Not many hands beat yours and the pot is way too big to let him take it down on a turn raise.

You should not be playing limit if your this weak passive. Or go down in limits.
