Default neteller, 100% safe

Hi folks, I am thinking about depositing some money into neteller from my checking account to do some bonus whoring. Is there any risk of me getting ripped off by someone? If there is, how could I prevent it? Thanks.

there is risk on certain sites. if you go to bonus whores and use those sites that they have listed there is very little risk. About as much as ordering something from Amazon.com. The party skins won't rip you off.

I've never heard of anyone being cheated by Neteller. If anything, a few people have complained that they're overly touchy about security. As long as you're careful about keeping your password private and only give out the secure ID to legit sites that need it to process your transactions, you should be fine. Most of us here who live someplace that has access to Neteller use it, I think.

Its safe, but always type in neteller.com when replying to an email, as opposed to clicking a link in an email. Sometimes, not Neteller but other major companies like AOL, get phished. Meaning, they have a website that looks identical to the real one and once you click the link in the email you are lead to the fake website, without you knowing. Then you type in your email and pass or whatever....

Overall, Neteller is extremely safe. Sorry, I didnt mean to scare you - just inform.

Neteller has the ability to close your account simply on suspicion. It happens and when it does it's your problem to straighten it out. Your money is at risk but overall it's reasonably small if everything is tidy as far as you being who you told neteller you are and being able to prove it.

I have many bank accounts at the same bank. I keep exactly the amount of a transfer + $1 in the neteller registered account. You'd be crazy to do otherwise.

Neteller is NOT like giving you CC# to amazon.com. They are not in the US and good luck if they stiff you.

They are in Canada. Even US citizens probably have better legal protection there than in the US.

Isle of Man, but yes. I was sure they were Canadian. Obviously dementia is setting in.
