flopped a four flush in bad relative position
UTG+1 is very weak, 52%, 0%pfr after 83 hands. I was too busy on the forums to notice his stats (stupid) and realized after i limped that i should have raised pf. Other players seemed decent except BB was TAG.I'm looking for comments on my flop call, but preflop welcome too.

Re: flopped a four flush in bad relative position
don't think a call is too bad if you're hoping everyone comes along for the ride...
a lot of times i think i would raise that flop though... would prob buy me a free river... |

Re: flopped a four flush in bad relative position
I'd raise the flop and take the free card unimproved

Re: flopped a four flush in bad relative position
I'd raise the flop with you flush draw and overcard and maybe bet the turn if it was heads-up. I'd take a free card if it's multiway on the turn.

I might call here if I felt pretty strongly that it wouldn't be raised. Raise the flop though.

Raise the flop to clean up outs and/or buy a free card.

Re: flopped a four flush in bad relative position
The only way you are in a "bad relative position" is if you don't raise this on the flop. You give the all other players a chance to draw you out, and if you hit the flush they probably aren't going to pay you off anyway. Raise, play with dead money. You have nice pot equity even if he's got TP. (roughly 46-49% heads-up).
Oh, and as everyone has said, take the free card. If the players are paying attention, and you did raise and you did take the free card, and you did get paid off (all of which are pretty probable in this hand), then you will start to have players defend hands by betting into you on the turn, which makes your monster hands even more profitable. |
