$2/$4 stud/8 on pokerstars, $.25 ante, $1 low card forced bring-in

3rd street:

5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] calls

i raise sixth street because you have a low looking board and might get a made eight to lay down a hand. My bigger concern though is to get another bet from the eight. Also, if the 4s have made 2 pair, he isnt going anywhere and you can get some dead high money.

I see no reason to raise fifth street. I would raise sixth. If you can get 447T off of a low draw, that's a great result. You'll be heads-up with what is likely a weaker flush and scoop the pot. If he calls, that's fine too, as you figure to get half of a bigger pot. If he has two pair, you don't want to give him a cheap card to beat you, and maybe he'll call multiple bets anyway. Why wouldn't you raise?
