Default Flopped Quads-to make the move on turn, or river?

The reason I played this the way I did was to maximize # of opponants, and maybe try to get a raise on the river. Any thoughts appreciated.

I would have lead the turn. Make them think you have a boat w/ the 4... they will call and maybe even raise w/ overpairs to the board. C/R here would scream big hand... don't know that you want to do this.

Lead the turn. You'll get 2 BBs when they call (and they will, considerably more often than not), and you'll have two players around at the river who might hit a boat.

Checking with the nuts and then not c/r-ing is just stoopid (and I mean that in the nicest possible way) - you have risked it checking through to get what a lead bet would have given you for no risk.

You know I hate hands like these If I am not the one holding the 4th One.

I say this because even If I have AK etc or high pair I will nearly always fold because even if you make your f/house you are still drawing dead more often than not some idiot is holding the 3,4,5, 6 etc as well as examples like yours where you have it on the BB.

That said I would bet the turn.

I would give serious consideration to leading the flop.

What's all this lead the turn garbage? Lead the flop. Nobody believes you have a five.

Yeah, really. I say this as one of the spewers of said lead the turn garbage. How many times have you faced trips on the flop and tossed for one SB?

Neither do they.

If you had 55 and the flop was 55x this line still wouldn't be good. Now with the flop being 555 no one is going to believe you have a 5. Every pair, every A, maybe even K highs are going to eiher raise or call and give you their money. You missed bets.
