Default Vegas

Hey y'all, goin' to vegas on March 9 and am wondering about what the softest NL games out there are. I'm planning on bringing between 5 and 10k and want to actually play as many tourneys as possible with some NL cash games mixed in. Can anyone tell me about all the good weekly tourneys are out there in the 100 - 500 buy in range? Also, I'm sure there are plenty of "fishy" cash games out there, but need some help weeding through the good ones. Any response would be greatly appreaciated. I'm pumped!!

Jeff

The search function should provide you with many threads loaded with the information you seek.

Depending on what time you get in, you could try the Bellagio $540 NL tourny or wait until Friday for the Bellagio $1060 NL tourny.

Play the tourneys at the Aladdin. They're about 40 to 60 dollar buy-ins, with I think one "rebuy" per player. Good structure, and a lot of fun. The 1-2 NL there is great as well.

Why would you suggest the Aladdin? Like he wants to slum it...

He said he's bring over 5k for tourny and cash play. And he asked about tourneys over $100.

I'm not sure how long you are staying in town, but the WSOP circuit is at the Rio starting on Saturday the 12th with a $1000 buy in event. There is also another NL event on Monday with the same buy in.

I enjoyed the tournaments at Binion's downtown very much.

Bally's 1/2 NL was the softest I played when I was there (last weekend).

Bellagio is refurbishing their poker room.

Hi Jeff,

First of all, you're coming to Vegas with a very respectable bankroll. You can afford to play pretty much anywhere you want. You wont find super-soft NL games with buy-ins of $500 (plus). The majority of the players at most of these games are usually semi-respectable (there are exceptions on any given night).

With this said, I suggest the Palms $100 min / $500 max NL game. The Palms spreads this game on quite a few tables, and I see more fish sit down in this game than other NL games in your playing range. The Palms is notorious for attracting poker players with more money than skill. As a bonus, the eye candy is first class. Get a seat facing the entrance to the poker room, and you will see some of the best looking people in Vegas.

Also, I'll second Tek's suggestion regarding the Bellagio NL tourneys. These are the richest daily tourneys in Vegas. They are always packed with players. With your bankroll you can't afford not to try one.

Lastly, you will be here at the end of March Madness. This is one of the best times of year to play poker in Vegas. There will be tons of action. Good luck at the tables.
