Greek chip design help
Well, I just got a couple samples of art from pokerchips.com. These are not acutal proofs, just some starts of ideas. My initial thought process for this order is here.
Please share your thoughts. Maybe an ancient greek ship would make a good image too? I still think I like the idea of the Athena owl, but not how it's been applied so far. For denominations, I was maybe thinking about writing them out to scroll the text across the top and bottom, but written out in Greek instead of English. The numbers would still go on the chip as well. Here's a decent boat image I just found... |

Re: Greek chip design help
I like the boat image a lot, but right now it relies on the frame of the image too much. You're about to convert a square image to a round one. so the waves will have to go. The crummy thing is that the waves at the front of the boat are pretty important. Before you decide on using that boat, try formatting it for a chip.

Re: Greek chip design help
hard to view the images- how do you make them larger?
You definately need a ship |

Re: Greek chip design help
The samples from pokerchips.com were just that small size. Making the image any bigger just pixelized the images.
Here's a couple crude mock ups of a helmet and a couple ships. Still missing denominations (in red?) and greek lettering scrolled across the top and bottom. Are these images better than the owl in the other thread and/or better than mythological creatures? I think they're more simple and classic, and less "busy". |

Re: Greek chip design help
Do they limit you to the number of colors you can use in your design? Or do they charge more for more colors? I just think you could really dress them up if your going to pay alot to have them labeled.

So yes, I don't really have any limits regarding color, only whatever I can come up with. Which isn't that much, as you can see. |

More revisions. I think I'm definitely going to go with 8 different pictures now. I probably won't use the cerberus that's in this picture though.

Re: Greek chip design help
Here's another update. All 8 chips and the approximate colors. Changed the ship, but not sure which one I like better. I'd like to do an image of the trojan horse, but couldn't find a good graphic. Does the Roman mold fit this theme the best? I don't really care for it, and was planning on the A mold.
