Default Microsoft Office

I tried using the search function but couldn't find anything. Is there any way to get a free version of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and Powerpoint) either online or off a CD? If not, then what would be the cheapest way to obtain it. thanks for the help.

Look on ebay and buy an earlier version, though be careful of buying a version labeled 'academic' version because there may be problems with it.

You also may want to consider www.openoffice.org it is, in a nutshell, an attempt to create a free MS Office clone, it offers similar programs to the MS Office suite that offer compatible file formats of all the real Office products. 100% free. If you just need it for occasional use, this might be a good solution.

If my friend already has Office on a CD, is it possible for me to load it onto my computer? Thanks.

The answer with earlier versions is yes assuming the key code is still on the back of the jewel case. I don't have the latest XP version of office, but I believe that they have gone to mandatory online registration to get it to operate in which case using someone else's disc won't work.

Oh and like he said, it is illegal ( 5 years hard time in a maximum security joint with a roomate named 'Meat' who spends his monthly allowance on viagra).

Actually, the latest version is Office 2003. Both XP and 2003 hae the mandatory online registration. I have connections, so I got them both for free..but they're so similar to each other..as well as every other Office version. Just get Office 2000...it's probably cheap, and it's the same as the newer versions.

On a completely unrelated subject, you can go to www.ircspy.com and search for files to download off of IRC that may or may not be copyrighted.
