Default Just checking

Just checking on how I played this hand. I'm pretty sure this is a standard play, but I need reassurance once in awhile.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, CO calls, Button calls, 2 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, CO folds, Button calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, Button raises, UTG folds, Hero 3-bets, Button calls.

River: (12.25 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Final Pot: 14.25 BB

Don't really see how it could go any differently. Looks fine.

I play this the same way. I'm not at all surprised when I lose to JT though as that hand is so commonly played.

If button raises the river what do you do?

If button raises you call, correct? Never fold for 1 bet on the river?

I'm finding now that I use reads more to determine my action. If this player is passive and is all of a sudden pushing I might back down. Usually I'll call the single bet back to me on the river, but expect to lose the hand.

This is exactly what I have been doing. Really depends on the read but my default action is a crying call.

Results in white below:
Hero has As Ad (one pair, aces).
Button has 2s 2d (three of a kind, twos).
Outcome: Button wins 14.25 BB.

Take solace in the fact that he played it horribly and should have charged you more
