Default Can anyone get away from this hand?

Can anyone get away from this hand on the river when its 2BB back to me. Im pretty sure i should just call this every time.

CO is a maniac. He goes all the way with most his hands. I've seen him call down with 9 high. Ive also seen him cap on the river with a KQ that never hit anything.

no reads on UTG+1.

tricky.

I think I follow the same line. It's unfortunate you have a maniac in the hand with you but I hate giving anyone credit for quads

Ah he has the lone jack eh?
I can honestly say I would have lost this hand in your situation.

You have to be aware of what other players could be holding, but things like Quads or straight flushes are just too rare to worry about. If they have it, good for them. Folding here would be -EV IMO.

The worst played street in this hand is preflop. Do you see why? I'll let others elaborate.

umm..i guess one of these?

raise with KQ in hopes of the maniac 3betting so we could be isolated?

or re-raise when its 1back to me because UTG+1 probably has a weaker hand than me...and CO will raise almost anything?

Totally. Raise your KQo and let CO three bet this preflop (although you should already be raising KQo in unraised pots). You have to take advantage of him sitting two seats away.

my PFR is 8.5ish and i limp with KQo quite often. The only time i raise it really is in LP in certin situations.

Yup. If UTG+1 still wants to play his Jx crap make him pay through the nose. We really want to play HU with the maniac though. Since we are out of position, we need a better hand then if we were on his left but KQo is more then enough hand imo.

Yep. PF raise and let maniac reraise to the limper. I'd have lost this hand too. But I think about all the times I would have gotten that juicy pot and chalk this one up to that one time I don't.
