Whats the rake per amount of the pot? By that I mean is it $1 per $10 or what? I sure wouldnt like paying that extra $1 per hand in jackpot rake at these small stakes. Its beatable, but there are better games I'm sure.

Hello!
The $30 average pot size makes this appear to be beatable.
However.. as im sure you well know..
it aint the stats that make the game beatable, it's the players

I may have mentioned this a couple thousand times before, but I used to play in a $2/4 stud game with a $.50 ante, a 10% rake capped at $4.50, and a $1 jackpot drop. I tipped a dollar a pot. I beat this game for something like $7/hr because the players were so bad. This game should be beatable for you, although I'd be more enthused about it if there were larger pots.

Default Thanks,Andy!

This structure is new to me. What are some 3-starter cards that U would play in this structure but NOT in a 1/5 no ante game?
Medium 3-Str.? 1-gap medium 3-Str. with a 2-flush? Without a 2-flush?
Thanks for some additional help.

Default Thanks,Adam! Y are correct---

the players' ratings are much more important than the stats.

Default Hello! Bull

It may be worth taking a look at. Is the bring-in a buck on the low card? I played in a game like this with the high card bringing it in (ah, those were the days), and did quit well. Of course, there's a difference between games where all pots are +/- $30, and games where there are $5 pots with a few $100 pots: easier to beat the rake that way. Andy B is right, though, it's all about the competition.

Since the rake is really high I think you should be very selective with your starting hands.
