ITM distribution

I'm beginning to become disturbed about the # of third place finishes I have compared to 2nds and 1sts. My stats over 300 SNGs between levels $10-$30 are:

4th- 40
3rd- 59
2nd- 34
1st- 34

So over half the time I've reached the bubble. 24% I bust out 4th, 35% I get 3rd, 20% 2nd, 20% 1st. Thats an ITM of 41% which I'm happy with.

Is this something I should be concerned about yet? I know 300 is a realatively small sample size, but I like to fix any problems before I reach a significant sample.

I'm wondering if I'm missing opportunites to push on the bubble that stronger players are taking advantage of, and plan on posting some quesitonable hands over the next couple days.

I've also ran into situations lately where 4-5 handed I'll be in the BB with a decent stack (1700-2200) and face an allin raise of T700 from the short stack. I have 200 in the BB and have to call 500 more to win 1500. I call and lose and become the short stack and bust out 4th. What range of hands should I be calling with here? I plan on posting on these situations also.

Are there other concepts I should be working on to improve my ROI?

Yeah, it's a small sample, but it looks a bit dodgy. At the 200's over 600 tourneys or so my ITM is lower (~35.5%) but 3rd place is the lowest % of any of my ITM places - barely higher than the nominal 10% actually.

As the BB posting 200, you don't have to call 500 more. In fact, even though you have pot odds, in the right situation you can fold to as little as 350 more.

you call 500 to win 1000 (not 1500). There is a veery big difference........

I think the last sentence says the more important part here. Pot odds are not as important in tourneys. Especially when you or your opponent are the short stack, and even more so when the bubble is involved.
