Default KJo two pair on the flop

Long time lurker - first time poster

I don't have any PT/GT+ reads on these players because the Paradise e-mail server seems to get overrun on Friday nights and isn't sending out hand histories

It's a standard Paradise 0.50/1 table with a VP$IP just over 30%. UTG+1 and UTG+2 are the loosest two on the table and I've mentally put them as 'dice' or even 'taz'. (When the HHs eventually turned up PT put them as UTG+1='dice' UTG+2='fish')

I only have 1400 hands under my belt so I'm a bit of a noob at the tables but I've been studying the books and these forums for a couple of months. I try to play SSHE / Micro-Limit forum 'standard'

Paradise Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, 3 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.

Standard I think.

Flop: (5 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB folds, UTG+1 bets, UTG+2 raises, Hero calls, SB folds, UTG+1 calls.

My feeling is that this flop has missed everyone. UTG+1 & UTG+2 have been betting flops with anything - I have no respect for these bets. Whereas my table image is tight; my raises have been getting respect. I thought that if I raised here everyone might fold, so I called hoping to get overcalls and keep everyone in. This is the play I'm unsure of - should I raise here to confirm I'm ahead and get rid of flush draws?

Turn: (5.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls.

Safe turn, still not respecting that bet so I'm raising for value and to see if I do need to start respecting what UTG+2 is holding (even fish get 'goot' hands occasionally ).

River: (11.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls.

Still think MHIG and I haven't seen these guys check-raise so I bet. Standard?

Final Pot: 13.50 BB

I would raise the flop here, the flush draw on the board along with the st8 possibilites don't make it very friendly to your 2 pair.

Hi,

My thoughts... I raise the flop too, you need to protect your hand. If they're determined to stick around for their draws, make them pay for it. If reraised I'd probably cap it. This isn't a hand you want people sticking around in.

I play the turn and river the same.
