Why did you reraise the flop if you have no plan for a safe turn card?
You've given us no useful information on your opponent. He was the BB in an unraised pot. His VP$IP is meaningless here. What we need is information about his postflop play. |

If he raises 17% of his hands, then I would have to assume he would raise AJ and just about any pair vs the SB.
I think your hand is good and I would bet the pot. (or 3/4 pot) |

what do you think of a bet in the 65$ range so he wont have the odds for a flush draw and Its still not that big so he could call with a pair of aces ? If he raise again I would tend to a fold also.

Re: Moderately Deeped Stacked PP 1/2 6max Hand for Comment
In hindsight I think that leading at the turn with a bet somewhere between $65 and $100 would be the best play. This is not what I did. I checked the turn, Villian bet $25, and I (check)raised to $100 (making it $75 to go for him). He folded.
In this particular instance my table image paid dividens. Up to this point I was pretty frisky post-flop, making plays at a lot pots and putting a lot of money in play (my post flop aggression for the session of 128 hands was 7). A few times the table played back at me by re-raising my flop raises and river bluffs. In this case I think Villian thought that when I checked turn, my flop re-raises was just a play, not necessarily representative of a real holding. Anyway (and fortunately) he didn't take the free card. Passion |
