Making a parlay bet

I am new to the sports betting forum. I spend most of my time in the poker sections of 2+2. Nevertheless, my buddy just recently got $50 free to wager at sportsbook.com so I figured to look to 2+2 for good picks to help him out. Last night (2/10) I took advice given on this forum and made a 3-game parlay bet. It was successful, but I have major doubts to continue betting the parlay. What is this forums opinion? Is it a sucker's bet? Just looking to gain some insight into the world of sports betting.
