A good size raise or a very big re-raise (like an all-in raise) could have knocked out the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. That's all I have to say.

I think you just got unlucky. it happens.Limping UTG is a gamble with AA but you got what you wanted and seeing as how this guy called the t130 raise he probably would have called a 3-4xBB raise in the first place.Raising big with AA usually just wins the blinds. That being said I do think your better off IMHO to raise with AA right off the bat 3-4x BB and if the villain calls with 22 and flops a set so be it thats poker.

I hope you seriously considered your 340 bet on the turn of the first AA hand.

If his flat call of half his stack, (when he knows you have a hand and 2 picture cards on the board), doesnt set off the sirens...this is just another example of people getting mind block with AA. Get inside his mind, the only explanation for his call-play is that he believes he is trapping you. That means AA, KK, QQ, JJ, 22, all of which are consistent with the crazy preflop play you see these days from people in sngs. After we rule out AA, and cut down the chance of QQ and JJ because people rarely play those like that, we're left with 3 possibilities. 1) He has KK and is a rubbish player. 2) QQ/JJ 3) 22

The pot is 800 you both have about 400 left, he is clearly committed. So if you play on hoping he has KK, barring any miracles, two times out of three you will be out, one time out of three you'll double up. On this expectation analysis its a marginal play on...personally I wouldnt be able to put him on KK and all other 'he thinks he has me beat' hands do actually beat me, so unless I knew him to be a tricky player with a higher % chance of something strange, I would probably fold after going into the tank.

But crucially I bet you didnt even think about it, you just went and bet pot with the 'I never lay down AA' mentatlity.

Dude. You're check-folding the turn getting 3:1? I cant see this, with all the dingbats out there calling this down all the time w/KQ, AQ, flush draw, not to mention far worse hands.

And lets let forget, the set is going to be putting you all in or very nearly all in on the river seeing you check the turn, and you'll have to call it. That might be a better idea though, since he probably won't call an all in with AJ, but will likely bet the river with AJ.
