Default There.

It only took 20,000 hands:

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.5.
2 folds, Hero calls, MP2 calls, 1 fold, CO (poster) checks, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, BB folds, Hero calls, MP2 calls, CO folds.

Turn: (4 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP2 calls.

River: (7 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP2 raises, SB folds, Hero 3-bets, MP2 calls.

Final Pot: 13 BB

Hero has Td Qd (straight flush, ace high).
MP2 has Qs Tc (straight, ace high).
Outcome: Hero wins 13 BB.

Raise the turn .

Now, if this was exactly hand 20k, I'd be really impressed.

Still waiting on my first one.

I think it's an easy turn raise. I figure you're probably thinking that you want to keep the other guy in the hand. Well, if he has [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] he'll probably stay for two. If he has a J he will stay for two, and with an A, most party-goers will stay for two. If he doesn't have any of this, he won't even stay for one. NH

I check/call the river because party is rigged.

I raise the turn hoping that either:

someone has a J and may reraise
someone has a FH/quads and will reraise
someone has a straight and may reraise
someone has a flush and may reraise
someone has an A or K and may call down

most other hands are likely going to fold anyway with this scary a board. Just hope that someone has a piece of it and they think you're overplaying a Jack.

Either way, NH, always nice to see those pretty suited face cards line up like that

It's not going to make much difference either way. I think a river diamond cripples your action on the river but anything that improves someone elses hand gives you extra action.

Plus look at it this way - even if you did miss 1 bet here that's 1 bet missed every 20,000 hands. And the overall difference between raising the turn and playing it like you did isn't even 1 bet.

Edit - The newbies on this forum are way too f'n aggressive.

This is a major leak in your game. It's costing you money every 20,000 hands.
