Default Would you pay somoene who cheated you?

That "word on the street" thread got me thinking. If you knew somoene cheated you, for example in poker if somoene cracked the deal and they could tell your hole cards and the flop, since thats pretty much the equivelant of what happened in that other thread would you?

Responding to my own post the only argument I see for paying is that you put your money up and lost it through your own ignorance. But in the end I think I would have to say no like if I was at a home game and somehow found out the cards were marked I think I would want my money back.

Neat thread.

That's not the equivalent of what happened.

Unless the meaning of equivalent has suddely changed to "completely different".

is it really necessary to start a new thread with a poll here to make some dumb 'point'?

[/ QUOTE ] Yes because I couldn't put a poll in a reply to the best of my knowledge.

[/ QUOTE ] Neat post you make many excellent points and back them up with reasoning, I now understand why my thinking was flawed.

He was being a little smug, but he is right. The two situations you compared are not even close to being the same. Why don't you try to explain to us why they are the same? When you can't, then you will know why.

Back it up with what reasons?
There is nothing more to add.
All the "reasons" are in plain sight for everyone to see.
They can read your example...
Then read the other thread...
Next they see how the two are nothing alike.

Your example is not the equivalent of what was described in the other thread.

Case closed.

Besides, as astroglide said, you were just starting this thread to make a point anyway.
I don't see why anyone should respond to your thread with kindness.

Me?

Never!

Btw pshreck, I don't know if you saw it or not, but I called you out in a positive way in the American Dad thread.

You had the best response on that thread at the time I posted my response.
